WSJ reports: Ford has made significant effort to expand its market presence in Asia, particularly in China. The big three American car markers are struggling to make profit in recent years. In the Asia market including China, Ford far lags behind its Japanese competitors. In addition, Ford is also lagging behind its American peer such as GM. As a matter of fact, Asia and China market are the fastest growing region for car sales, therefore for Ford to ignore the fastest growing market on the planet would be disastrous for company’s survival.
