China Tells

FT London: China’s 60 anniversary on October 1st tops the headlines of all major newspapers. In the last 20 years, the world has witnessed a rapid growth of a major figure on the stage, in terms of economy, politics and culture. At the current period, China seems the only power who has the potential and capacity to challenge the dominance of American Imperialism. On one hand, the world is pleased to see someone to rise against the American monopoly on world trade order, currency mechanism and military framework. On the other hand, the world is more worried about the mentality from Chinese, and thereafter the consequence if the two powers wind up a firm confrontation. Such a worry is particularly apparent among other western powers such as EU and UK in that China has a different political and social structure compared to theirs.
