Forbes: It is the old saying in China: When a snipe and a clam are locked in a battle, the fisherman benefits. President Obama might never have thought that when he increase the tariff on Chinese tires into the States, the only realy beneficiaries are not his fellow country man, but the tire manufacturers in Indonesia, South Korea and Thailand. IT seems that Amercian companies are unlikely to source tires from domestic makers as the other Asian countreis can easily fill the gap left by Chinese tire makers at a similarly competitive price. If the trade war continues between China and US, neither would be winning anything and only benefits the other competitions.
