China Tells

An Iphone costs about $1024 in China, which compares to less than $300 for a normal phone and less than $800 for a smart phone. However, Iphone has its own advantage: it is fancy, trendy, and COOL. Will Iphone create a similar success it has in other parts of the world? It remains to be tested (See Article from WSJ).  Personally there is no way for me to spend $1000 just for a phone. For half the price, I can get a blackberry, and it has camera, email, phone, and SMS. What more do you need? Maybe I am outdated. A recent study shows that Apple is world’s number 3 Smart Phone vendor as late as 2008, after Nokia and RIM. However, the growth of Iphone sales outnumbers the rest by dazzling digits. Clearly more cool and sexy Iphones are a better favorite of most people.

苹果的Iphone正式在中国面世。没有服务，光机器本身就要售价7000元人民币。算上服务的话，每年1万块不在话下。我不知道有多少人有这么高的消费能力。可能我落伍了，现在谁没有一个半个Iphone啊。
