China Tells

Shanghai Stock Exchange’s Market Capitalization ranks No. 6 in world Stock Exchange league. Based on data from World Federation of Exchanges, the market capitalization of Shanghai Stock Exchange amounts to about 1425 Billion USD, which is after NYSE (9.2 Trillion USD), TSE, Nasdaq, NYSE Europe, and LSE. Among the top ten are other exchanges such as HKSE, DB, ASE and NSEI. So far American stock exchagne still acounts for the bulk of world Exchange’s capitalization, but the growth from China borses (Shanghai+Shenzhen+HK) has a potential to challenge the dominance of American exchanges.

上海证交所市值在08年末约达到1万4千亿美元，在全世界各大交易所市值排名中占到第六位。就08年底的排名，纽约证券交易所以9万多亿的市值雄踞榜首，约相当于第二到第四大交易所市值的总合。但是上海证券交易所凭借后发优势，前途无量。
