Chinas Copper Import up 32% in Oct 09 (十月铜进口增长32%)China’s Copper import in Oct of 2009 reached around 290,000 tons, which is an increase of about 32% compared to that time of last year. Despite the positive growth, the growing pace has cooled down compared to the previous few months. China’s copper import reached the peak in June 2009 when the country imported more than 400,000 tons. After that the import volume started to come down. The copper import is an indicator of the industrial demand and consumption growth.

中国铜进口总量在10月份达到29万吨，同比增长32%。中国在09年铜进口量大量增加，并且在6月份达到顶峰。自6月份以后铜的进口量渐渐下降。铜是多种工业部门的重要原料，如汽车，房地产，发电，修路造桥等等。铜的进口量一定程度上反映了经济的总需求。
