China Tells

China’s CPI increased by 0.6% in November 2009 (See Article from WSJ). It is the first time that China’s monthly CPI grows in a positive number during the last 10 months. Economists have been worried about inflation mainly due to the government’s record stimulus program. It seems that such a worry is being backed up by the readings in CPI. In the meanwhile, the PPI continues the negative growth at -2.1% in November.

中国11月份消费者物价指数上升0.6%。这是过去10个月以来中国的消费物价指数第一次出现正增长。消费物价指数在七月份探底之后连续回升，引起经济学家对通货膨胀的担忧。同时，生产者物价指数继续下降，但下降幅度比以前有所减缓，达到2.1%。
