China’s CPI increased by 0.6% in November 2009 (See Article from WSJ). It is the first time that China’s monthly CPI grows in a positive number during the last 10 months. Economists have been worried about inflation mainly due to the government’s record stimulus program. It seems that such a worry is being backed up by the readings in CPI. In the meanwhile, the PPI continues the negative growth at -2.1% in November.
