Chinese government has shown concern over the rapidly increasing price in the property sector (See Article from Beijing Review). The housing price in China, particularly in first tier cities, have gone up agressively in the second half of 2009 (see Graph from Chinatells). Such an increase has caught most people unprepared, and are attributed to the quantitative release of credit from the government and central bank. The spike has caused attention from central government, including Premier Wen Jiabao (See Article from Chinatells). The government has launched a few measures in order to cool down the heat in property sector. So far it seems that the mania to Q overnight for a ticket to buy a flat has teared off.
