In 2007, China surpassed South Africa to become world’s largest gold producer. Since then, the country continues to produce more and more gold. At the same time, Chinese’ enthusiasm about gold only gets stronger and stronger (See Article from China Daily). According to a latest estimate, China consumes about 450 tons of gold in 2009, which is an increase of about 13.8 percent from last year. Such a trend coincides with a spike in the international gold price in 2009. Such a trend also benefits most of the gold mining companies in China such as Zijing Mining and National Gold Group. Some of them make the effort to take oversea mining companies with mixed rate of success.
