去年(09年)七月要买台式机给家人用,因为公司和DELL是Partner,可以享受大客户的折扣,所以就通过一个熟悉的DELL销售经理Nancy下了单。整个过程一如既往的便捷和方便(十年来已经买过不下五台DELL产品),大约一星期后收到两个大箱子。小插曲是当时windows7还没发布,DELL的销售说让加钱买个pro版本的Vista,DELL网站承诺可以直接免费升级到windows7(09年10月发布)。没想到这个插曲后来就成了噩梦。
十一月下旬偶尔看到相关新闻想起来windows7的升级包的事情,上DELL网站查看居然已经有了,但是要自己上一个网站注册,并支付运费。当下就觉得这个服务很糟糕,因为这期间就没有任何DELL官方的通知发到我手机或者Email地址(这种服务我家楼下卖面包的都有)而且运费一说彻底颠覆了我对free upgrade的理解,要不是我残存的记忆力+熟练打开浏览器的能动力+正确访问DELL的官网而非某个山寨诈骗页面的辨识力+在一个角落发现这个页面欲遮还羞的观察力+一定的货币支付能力,我可能就此得不到这个蒸贵的服务包了,想到此处不由得一身冷汗。噼里啪啦填了在线表格,到得最后一步输入我的服务标签时杯具出现了,网站提示无法识别我的服务标签,在我不懈尝试数十次,期间更换了三种浏览器,两幅键盘鼠标,东西南北四个座位朝向后宣告失败。于是我发了 Email询问销售,得到回复是IT界著名金玉良言之“等等再试”。
按下期间尝试数次等等后的再试不表。到得春节后某日观天象恰逢良辰吉日,于是想起再上这个网站试试,不想索性得到的提示是本次升级注册服务已经结束(之前页面未曾标识有截止日期或者是被放到哪个被设了 display:none的DIV里凡眼看不到)。大惊之下赶紧拨通DELL页面上的售后支持服务电话,在总机小姐的耐心指导下,利用深度遍历和广度遍历算法将整个Call Center的分支跑了一遍后,终于有一名干练的客户服务部的小姐愿意接过我这个烫手的山芋,她的回答冰冰有礼:“陈先生,我这帮不了你,很抱歉。您想投诉?不用了,我就是负责投诉的部门。” 好吧,我倔强的又尝试了几次DELL Call Center的分支菜单希望那个能找到哪个部门出来解释和帮助我,这个奇妙的电话系统总是能带你在他们的各个部门里游玩一番后回到起点。
一个月过去了,期间不下二十多次这样的电话游乐场一日游,十多封逗你玩的Email,我终于明白DELL的售后其实是在不断的磨练你的耐心和消耗你的精力。直到昨天最后一次通话,一位客户服务部的先生,热情佯意的对我说:“陈先生,我这帮不了你,很抱歉。您想投诉?不用了,我就是负责投诉的部门。”,不同的人不同的时间,却一字不差。冰冷的高科技也不过如此。这下,真怒了。
于是打开Outlook,3号下午2点55分,写下了这封Email:
Hello Michael,
I don’t know whether you could read this personally. I start to use Dell products 10 years ago in China. I love your brand and reputation in this industry. However, I want you know something happened around me recently, make me really disappointed and even angry.
I bought a desktop for my personal use via corporation channel with Dell sales manager last summer in China. They advised me to buy a premium version of vista which could receive a free upgrade to windows7. So I paid for that. Since then, I never received any information from dell about this free upgrade service. Until recently, I happened to find that the upgrade package is there and it’s closed on Jan!
I contacted your support and service department 20+ times and had tens of email loop about my situation. They just kick me around for the whole month and finally told me that they can’t help. That is not the service I believe from DELL. The only useful answer I got finally is a guy from customer support unit told me to complain it somewhere but dell… crazy!
This is not the only case reflecting the falling service level from Dell in China. You may find hundreds of the complaints from uses all around China. Yes, I know no one wise at all times. But for me, I do hope your company could do better. Otherwise, I do not have any other choice of buying a computer.
