China Tells

China has been a keen holder of US Treasury since 2001. In the last decade up till 2009, China has been in a steady trend to increase the holdings of US treasury. As a contrast, Japan as the top US treasury holder has been decreasing the holdings since 2004. As a result, China surpassed Japan as the biggest holder of US Treasury. The other big holders are UK, OPEC and Carribean (mostly hedge funds and mutual funds).

中国自从2001年开始逐年增持美国国债。该趋势在2010年好像受到抑制。跟中国相比，美国国债的传统持有大国日本从04年开始逐年减持，并在09年将美国第一大债主的宝座让位给中国。
