China’s Property price has caused attention from the central government, and the state council has released a series of policies to curb the speculation in property market. Above chart is a review of China’s property price in a few big cities. On average Shanghai has the highest housing price at around 20K RMB/sqm. At the same time, Shenzhen’s average income tops the nation with 9K RMB/month. Base on such assumption, it takes about 18 years of average salary income in Shanghai to afford 100 square meters. Guangzhou seems to offer the best affordability with an average of 9 years income for 100 square meters.
