In the past weeks I have received a few requests from readers on the component of China’s CPI. So I present this chart here based on the source from National Bureau of Statistics in China. As you can see from the chart, Food is the single biggest contributor to China’s CPI (34%), followed by Entertainment and Rental. It is worth noting that the housing price is not included in the CPI.
